Aire Valley Glass have been manufacturing and installing conservatories for over 30 years, and can provide everything from a simple carport or lean-to porch to a full Orangery or Solid Lightweight Tiled roof system, with a raft of choice in between.
Every conservatory we install is made to measure and customised to your individual home and requirements, allowing you to get the exact design you want to maximise space and add value to your home. We offer a range of different roofing systems, all available in various shapes and styles, each with their own benefits.
Polycarbonate Roof Conservatories
The traditional roofing system has come a long way from its early roots and is now an energy-efficient, value-for-money option when choosing a conservatory or porch roof style. Polycarbonate roofing panels provide a break from the suns glare, their opaque finish gives privacy from others and their multi-chambered construction gives good thermal efficiency.
These roofs are the most customisable in terms of pitch, shape and design, allowing them to fit where other roofing systems wont.
Glass Roof Conservatories
An all-glass conservatory roof is the ideal solution when you want to bring the most light into your conservatory, to provide a proper ‘sun-room’ feel whilst providing thermal efficiency and weatherproofing from the elements.
Our glazed conservatory roofs are available with thermally-coated double glazed glass panes, with Solar Control properties to help regulate the temperature of the room during hot weather. The Blue coating on the glass reflects the suns glare and helps give a bright look to the sky during bad weather, and the easy-clean external finish will mean a reduced need for cleaning.
Our solar-control glass roofs are available in a multitude of different shapes and sizes, including traditional lean-to and Victorian styles, through to more modern Edwardian and Gable-fronted designs. We can even provide roofs with edge pelmets to give an orangery-style feel to the roof, providing space for lighting whilst maintaining maximum sunlight through the glass panels. Contemporary end facias and pilasters can be added to give a more modern look, and we offer a range of cresting and finial designs to give a decorative or modern finish to the roof frames.
Solid Lightweight Tiled Roofs
Whilst a sun drenched conservatory is a great way to bring the outdoors into your home, you might prefer to have a more of an extension to your house to give extra room. A lightweight tiled roof is a great option in this instance, as it provides all the benefits of a proper, insulated tiled roof but in a lightweight and efficient construction that can be fitted onto existing conservatory roof frames with minimal additional support.
Made from timber and fitted with thick EPS insulation boards, these roofs have excellent thermal efficiency, and are available with a choice of different external tile finishes. You can even specify a Velux roof window or a fixed glazing rooflight to still allow natural light into the room.
Lantern Conservatory Roofs
If you’re looking for an even more modern take on a conservatory, and would like a roof that lets light in but is also more thermally efficient than a traditional conservatory system, a lantern conservatory roof is a great solution. Fitted onto a flat fibreglass roof, a glazed lantern roof will flood your new room with light and provide a focal point with a feeling of height and space, whilst the solid roof surround helps to keep the room cosier and feel more like a proper room.
If the height of a lantern roof doesn’t appeal, we can also fit a flat rooflight, giving a similar contemporary look.

Verandah Glazed Canopies
A bespoke canopy solution for driveways, patios and outdoor living, the Verandah system is a modern and stylish canopy that allows you to enjoy the outdoors whilst offering protection from the elements.
The roof features a built-in guttering system, metal posts in a choice of designs and can be fitted with solar control glass panes.
